Hey there! Hope you are having a great weekend. I’m excited to see that cooler weather is coming to Texas tomorrow. I can’t wait to wear sweaters, sip hot chocolate, and crunch the leaves as I walk! I just hope the cool days stick around a little longer this go round. Anyway, let’s get to it! Today I’m sharing from our visit to Victoria, British Columbia, and our walk around The Empress Hotel overlooking the harbor.
Along with the Parliament Building, The Empress Hotel greets you as you pull into the harbor at Victoria. It’s stunning architecture and sweeping vines really make it stand out against the crowd of smaller buildings. We didn’t even step foot inside, as the beautiful grounds kept us plenty intrigued, but I would have loved to have ventured in for their famous high tea. I’ll save that for a later trip. However, we loved strolling around the outside, admiring the stone & brick facade, gorgeous copper roof tops, and absolutely beautiful gardens. Our favorite were the wisteria bushes cascading down from wooden pergolas. They made for great photo ops! This is the perfect attraction to visit during a cruise stop on the way to Alaska. If you get the chance I recommend checking out The Empress and venturing in to check out the inside. I’m sure it will be a treat for you!
Thanks for stopping by today. Check back tomorrow. I’ll be sharing our last adventure from Victoria!
